What is GCR?
Garantie de construction résidentielle (GCR) administers the mandatory warranty plan for new residential buildings in Quebec. When a buyer finds a problem, they report it in writing to the builder, with a copy to GCR.
Does Carnet Garantie replace the GCR procedure?
No. The procedure stays the warranty plan’s. Carnet Garantie helps you follow it: it computes the deadlines, sends the written notice with GCR in copy when the buyer asks, and keeps every step as proof.
Do buyers and subcontractors need an account?
No. Buyers use their unit’s QR code; subcontractors get a private link for each claim. Only your team has an account.
Can I import my existing projects?
Yes, from a CSV file (saved from Excel): buildings, units, reception dates and buyers. For large volumes, our team takes care of it.
How does the free trial work?
After a short demo, we create your account and you have 30 days with every feature. No credit card; at the end, you pick a plan or we close the account.
Is it in French too?
Yes. The app, the buyer pages and the emails are in French and English; everyone picks their language.
